Estonia Passport Photo Requirements

A crossroads between Scandinavia and Central Europe, Estonia is shaped by its eclectic past. Though its inviting capital, Tallinn, is an easy boat ride from Helsinki and Stockholm, the nation is quite different from its Nordic neighbors. Like its fellow Baltic countries, Estonia has an enthusiasm for the things that make it unique.

Estonia Passport Requirements

  • Required photo dimensions : 40mm x 50mm
  • 1 photo will need to be submitted
  • A light blue, beige, light brown, light grey or white background is needed for your photos
  • You must have a neutral expression and a closed mouth without headgear.
  • Eyes must be open and look has to be directed towards the camera lens.
  • The area between chin and top of the head must form 70-80% of the vertical height of the photo.
  • Glasses are allowed if eyes are not covered by spectacle frames and there are no "gleams of light" from the reflection of glasses.
  • Hair may not cover the face nor cause shades on the face.
  • The photo may not have fingerprints, scratches or any other defects on it.
  • The Colour gamma of the photo must have a natural spectre (may not be overexposed nor underexposed).
  • The red-eye effect on the photo is not allowed and its removal by means of the software is forbidden.
  • In the case of babies, the eyes must be open

Estonia Visa Requirements

  • The photo must not be more than 6 months old.
  • Head size between 70-80%.
  • You must have your mouth closed and a neutral expression.
  • Dimensions : 40mm x 50mm
  • Number of Photos Required: 2
  • Background Requirements: light blue, beige, light brown, light grey or white background
