Italy Passport Photo Requirements

As you explore Italy, you'll stand face-to-face with some of the world's most iconic images from this 2,000-year history: Rome's ancient Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, Pisa's Leaning Tower, Florence's Renaissance masterpieces, and the island city of Venice.

Italy Passport Requirements

  • Required photo dimensions: 35mm x 45mm.
  • 2 photos will need to be submitted
  • An off-white background is needed for your photos
  • Head size between 70-80%
  • Close up of your head & top of shoulders.
  • Must be in colour.
  • Head coverings for religious reasons only.
  • Glasses must show eyes clearly and without any reflections from the flash on the lenses (alternatively you are advised not to wear any glasses at all) must not wear tinted lenses i.e. you are allowed reading lenses but not sunglasses
  • You must not wear glasses with a thick frame.
  • The frame should not cover or obstruct any part of your eyes as these must be always visible.
  • You should wear dark coloured clothes.
  • Should be in sharp focus and clear.
  • Should show you looking directly at the camera.
  • Be printed on high-quality paper, and at high resolution.
  • Taken with uniform lighting and not show shadows or flash reflections on your face and no red-eye.
  • Must show you alone (no chair backs, toys or other people visible).
  • You must be looking at the camera with a neutral expression and your mouth closed.
  • In the case of babies, eyes must be open.
